I like the comic-book style but the story wasn't very entertaining to me. Although the pictures were cool. *

Rain vs. Winner... I have no idea do they have a 2nd book because the ending was kind of confusing.
I'm not a big fan of the book.**

I think the coloring was AMAZING! The sad dust bowl part was gray and lifeless (just like the town) But in the "happier days were colorful and well placed.

  13. I thought this book was difficult to follow especially for students that have no prior knowledge of the drought/Dust Bowl of the 1930s. It was interesting that it was told in a graphic novel format. **

  23. I liked this book. Emphasis on the LIKE. This book would not be suitable for people who don't need to know some inappropriate language. The coloring was good though, but this book was hard to follow. Even I couldn't follow along that well. But it was very mystical. Wish it was a little better. **
