  1. This is an AMAZING book! It gives the reader an entirely different outlook on people with disabilities. Melody is an amazing young woman who will capture your heart. I laughed at her witty humor and cried at the disappointments she faced. This is a must read! - Mrs. Romig (4th Grade Teacher at PFE)

  3. "Thoughts need words. Words need a voice." This is such an important book. It makes you look at your world in an entirely new way. Melody is an amazing person who explains her disability (cerebal palsy) as something that limits her body, but not her mind. I really wish every student would read it. ****

  7. I liked this book because I learned that just because you are in a wheelchair does not mean that your brain does not work. Melody was a very smart girl like all the other kids in 5th grade.

  8. This book taught me that people with disabilities can be smarter than those that don't have disabilities. You should not judge people by their looks.

This tells you that no matter how different you are, it's okay. This book was so hard to put down. I finished it in 2 hours flat. This was AWESOME!!! **** (+1)

  31. Melody Brooks is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She is different. But aside the fact her arms and legs are hopeless of ever being used, her thumbs were born with no flaws. Although I am incapable of feeding my own self at age 11, I have a brain beyond the wonders of the galaxy. Even though I am surounded by words I cannot use them. A brain at waste? I think not. She shows her talent in the Whiz kid quizes. She finally gets to express her true colors when she gets her dream computer. I read this in two nights not including days. Everyone should be forced to read this amazing book. I will definitely be voting this as my COMPLETE number one Bluebonnet Book EVER!
